Tears of missing the Haramain



And Allah The Most Knowing and All Hearing knows all.


As I watch the very few people circumbulating the Holy Shrine of prophets Abraham and Muhammad (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon them both and their progeny), the Ka’abah, I feel my soul move, and tears begin to well up. 

I pray that this fear pandemic will stop. I pray to be able to visit there once more. I remember my last trip there. 

I see that people are behaving with respect. I don’t see people rushing in their devotion. I don’t see people grappling to touch the Hajar Aswad.

I believe it is this time when people are supposed to learn the better ways of behavior. I realise that is the lesson of this pandemic. That humans will take the time to slow down, remember God’s graciousness and mercy. That people are supposed to learn to help and look out for one another rather than be enemies. I believe that as soon as this lesson is learned, the fear of pandemic suffering will disappear and ease will once again be given to humans. 

I remember the words from traditions, when Allah destroyed many tribes and nations before this, because of disobedience. And if Allah wanted to, humans could easily be replaced by another creation of intelligent beings. 

We are suppose to rise above our desires and use our heightened abilities to exist and coexist as a part of Allah’s creations,

to improve, appreciate and take care of this earth and our environment before we destroy it with foolishness and greed. 

As I watch the few people at the Ka’abah, I can’t help but weep at this realization.

How to start making visible improvements in self that lasts.

 It's all very well for people to say change yourself if you're not happy. It's all very well to say your inner self reflects your outer world. Although that may be true, the question many face is how does one do it?

I believe that a faith system is one of the fundamental factors that help with this process of inner change. When one chooses a faith, one must be dedicated to reading and following the guidance within that faith. Essentially, the practices of the faith will be the source of comfort and wisdom. I am a certified emotion code practitioner aside from having a degree in psychological sciences. What I discovered is that energy healing works. Releasing trapped emotions does encourage well-being and with a basic faith based system in place. Yet, it doesn't seem enough. Why? The reason many find difficulty and struggles with blind faith is that people do not know what their real capabilities and potentials are. Here is where a combination of psychology tools assist dramatically. It empowers a person and the path seems to open wider. Things become clearer and people will find their way to becoming their true self.

Firstly, when I clear trapped emotions for a person, I also ask them fill out a personality survey and a VIA character strengths survey result. The reason I do this is because the results indicate a base personality. Upon reflection, one may compare personality traits and if in reality they are being authentic based on results. It must be understood that conditioning, priming and environment have a huge impact on our subconscious. We are being constantly bombarded by the outer world. It affects our inner world. That is, our thoughts, emotions and decisions are affected. For example, sometimes, a person may react impulsively, but results from the personality test may show they are not impulsive by trait. Emotions have a way of over ruling logic. Now, when you realise your true nature, you may find that all those factors have impacted your self, life and decisions along the way. Another example, if you are actually low in extraversion, but find in your real world you are considered extraverted, but deep inside you don't like nor feel such, or perhaps a job or profession demands that you act extraverted. Doesn't then this impact on you?

Next, VIA character strengths are 24 strengths and these are reflected upon answering a survey. While a person retrieves these answers and find their top five strengths, they can then analyse if they are using or have used these strengths. These strengths are believed to add increased wellbeing and quality of life. Sometimes, we overuse certain greater strengths and this can have a negative impact. Sometimes, we use our medium or lesser strengths and this may cause internal struggle. The analogy is like climbing a steep hill and falling a little, never reaching the top. As one evolves by using this combination of techniques, characters strengths results shuffle, therefore showing the effects of positive changes made.

Think about it, if you can determine the facts from your own answers and compare these to your reality, wouldn't you then find it easier to make the much needed changes to improve your overall life? Would you be less confused? Would you have more encouragement? Would you feel self empowered? Would you find inner peace?

Finally, when we have this understanding, we learn to respect individual differences, we learn to trust ourselves and then others, solely for the fact that we are being our authentic selves.

I am confident that this method works. I believe it is the fastest, simplest and most affective way of beginning the changes needed to reboot self.
