7 points of thought of the last week of April 2013

  1. Each day passes but which second, moment, will it end , will we know? Nobody is guaranteed fore knowledge of this once in a life time event which ends the time of life. Those endowed with more knowledge than others should be showing more wisdom and awareness than those with less, rather I see, the opposite. Because love for the sake of our Rabb is not a theory but a practice, hence, when the time approaches and He makes the calling, perhaps, our hearts would be rendered the signals and we shall face Him, with love , hope and humility. In all sincerity, good intentions precedes good actions, and encouragement of word must be the daily character and practice of a good seeker. The ultimate goal is not here on the earth, so we should train ourselves for the Hereafter. And never forget, He knows every single grain of thought and feelings, so suffice is He for us. ~lorrainenurshufiya2013
  2. Say, think, act, speaking well, thinking well, politeness and kindness, eradicate sensitive and irresponsible arrogance, contradictions and egoism. Failing to do all this with real effort and sincerity, will render one a hypocrite. ~lorrainenurshufiya2013
  3. In comparison to all the expanse of creation, I am but a speck searching truth, justice and believing in love that lights up hearts, I believe that we all share this common bond except that bad communications and ego centric selfish desires blanks the frequencies we need to establish a strong fort within ourselves. We are racing with time, it consumes us each day, we race towards the door of our Rabb, to show and prove our worthiness, yet to one another , we allow nasty desires to override our purity of hearts, I believe as you speak is what you should be, and by standards of knowledge, theory must include practice, consistence and controlled awareness. Common-sense will prevail and irrationality destroyed for the heart that is focused on other than self. Therefore, in silence shall we discover, who we really are. ~lorrainenurshufiya2013
  4. Disappointments happens when we expect too much, trying to accept what is available will help us to appreciate more when we have less so we will receive more, and the more we receive, the more we shall share, and this is how the human character is supposed to be. ~lorrainenurshufiya2013
  5. I have suffered and accepted for Your sake, because I believe that You shall take care of all things for as long as I adhere to Your commands and advice that is all for my own good; and I know that through these trials, in silence I contemplate, or show my distaste for what I cannot comprehend, I surrender it back to You, Who allowed the grief in the first place. The struggles I have been given will always end at the start of it, to be able to let go, and let things flow, You will sort it all for me. I am convinced of this My Rabb. So, open the doors of Mercy and Light, that my path will be made simpler and raise me in the levels of Your pleasure only. ~lorrainenurshufiya2013
  6. The answer is sent, In quiet disposition we have asked Thee, and the answer is sent...Ya Rabb, You have the power over all things, and when we ask, You will answer. Allahu Akhbar, GOD is the Greatest.
  7. Truly, most definitely, Your Rabb is Your master, and His entire plan is for you to know Him, that is why we have plights, through silent endurance , we overcome obstacles, ask Him for anything, ask Him for guidance , ask Him for respite, and you shall gain and receive it all; he will never forsake you, He is your only absolute saviour from yourself, selfish desires, crowded thoughts and embellished character.If you say you strive for Him, He will test you with your words, so behave as you say, and He is the ultimate Judge and rewards all your efforts and goodness, and he will show you towards the light. Then your face will be a reflection of His Light, through your enlightened heart. ~lorrainenurshufiya2013

Hizb ul Bahr–Litanyof the Sea of Imam Shadhili

Penjaringan-20130225-00611

Hizb ul Bahr - Litany of the Sea in English

In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate. Blessings of God and peace be upon our master Muhammad and his family. O God,
O Exalted One, O Gentle One,
O AII-Knowing One,
Thou art my Lord, and Thy knowledge is sufficient for me. What an excellent Iord is my Lord! What a wonderful sufficiency is my sufficiency!
Thou plea to Thee is for protection, in movements and moments of rest, in words, desires, and passing thoughts, from doubts, suppositions and fancies-veilings, they, over hearts, occluding sight of the unseen.
The faithful were tried; They were severely shaken.
Then the hypocrites would say, with those of disease-ridden hearts, "God and His Messenger promised us only delusion. (Q. 33:11-12)
Even so, make us firm, aid us, and subject to us this sea, as Thou did subject the sea to Moses, and the fire to Ibrahim, and the mountains and iron to David, and the wind, the Satans, and the jinn to Solomon.
Put in subjection to us every sea of thine in earth and heaven, in this domain and the celestial, the sea of this world and the sea of the next. Render subservient to us every thing, "0 Thou, whose hand holds sovereignty over every thing" (Q. 23:88).
Kaf ha' ya' 'ayn shad
Kaf ha' ya' 'ayn shad
Kaf ha' ya' 'ayn shad
Help us, for Thou art the best of helpers.
Open to us the hand of mercy, for Thou art the best of openers. Pardon us, for Thou art the best of pardoners.
Be compassionate toward us, for Thou art the best of those who show compassion.
Sustain us, for Thou art the best of sustainers. Guide us and rescue us from the unjust people.
Send us a gentle breeze, as Thou dost know how to do, and let it blow on us from the storehouses of Thy mercy. Let it bear us along as it by miraculous intervention, with security and well-being, in religion, worldly affairs, and the hereafter.
Thou art powerful over all things. God, facilitate for us our affairs, with ease of mind and body, with security and well-being in religious and worldly matters. Be a companion for us on our journey, and a substitute for our households.
Blot out the countenances of our enemies, and transform them where they stand, disabling them from leaving or coming to US. If We willed, We would blot out their eyes. Yet, they would race forward to the path. But how would they see? If We willed, We should transform them where they stand. Thus, they would be unable to leave or return (Q 36:66-67).
Ya' sin! By the Wise Qur' an! Surely thou art one of those sent on a straight path! A revelation sent down by the Mighty, the Merciful, that thou mightest warn a people whose fathers had not been warned. Yet, they do not take heed.
The declaration has been confirmed against the greater part of them. Yet they do not believe. We have circled their necks with chains up to the chin, but they hold their heads high. Before them have We placed a barrier, and behind them a barrier, and We have obscured their vision; so they see not (Q 36:1-8).
May their faces be deformed!
May their faces be deformed!
May their faces be deformed!
Let their faces be submissive before the Living, the Self-Subsistent, For he who is laden with wrong has already met frustration. Ta' sin, ha' mim, 'ayn sin qaf. (Q 27:1)
He has released the two seas that meet; Yet between them is a barrier [barzakh] that they do not overpass. ...(Q 55:19-20)
Ha' mim, ha' mim, ha' mim, ha' mim, ha' mim, ha' mim, ha' mim! (Q 40:1)
The affair has been decreed. The triumph has come. Over us they shall not triumph. Ha' mim!
[It is] the sending down of the Scripture from God, The Mighty, the AII-Knowing, Forgiver of sin,
Receiver of penitence, Severe in punishing, Forbearing.
No god is there except Him.
To Him is the returning. (Q 40:1-3)
In the name of God (bismillah) is our door. May [God] bless our walls.  Ya' sin (Q 36:1) is our ceiling.
Kaf ha' ya' 'ayn sad (Q 19:1) is our sufficiency. Ha' mim 'ayn sin qaf (Q 42:1) is our shelter.
So God is sufficient for thee against them, for He hears all, knows all.
[Repeat this thrice]
The veil of the throne has been dropped over us, and the eye of God is gazing at us. God is behind them, round about. Indeed, it is a glorious recital [Qur'an], inscribed on a guarded tablet [lawh mahfuz] (Q. 85:20-21). [Repeat this thrice]
My Protector is God, Who revealed the Book (from time to time), and He will choose and befriend the righteous. (Q. 7:196) [Repeat this thrice]
My sufficiency is God. No god is there except Him. In Him have I put my trust, For He is Lord of the majestic throne (Q. 9:129). [Repeat this thrice]
In the name of God, with whose Name nothing in the earth or sky can do harm, for He is the All-Hearer, All-Knower. [Repeat this thrice]
There is no force and no power except with God, the High, the Mighty.

The Secret  power of Hizbul Bahr 6 points
Bismillahi Babuna

It’s said The first line of the Hizbul Bahr will be bring 1,000 army of Angels to your right side and a 1,000 army of Jinns to your left side.
It is related from Shaykh abul Hasan al-Shadhili;
Point 1. That the Hizb al Bahr contains the Greatest Name of Allah ( 'Ism 'Azim) and that it was never recited in any place except that there was security there.
Point 2.  It is related from Ibn 'Ayyasd that;
"whoever recites it every day at Sunrise, Allah hears his prayer, relives his distress, raises his standing among people, expands his breast with Knowledge of the divine Oneness, facilitates his concerns, lifts his hardship, keeps from him the evil of man and Jinn and protects him from harm and mishaps of the night and day".
Point 3. He also said;
"whoever recites it after every prayer, Allah enriches him from needying any of His creatures, protects him from the events ofhis time and facilitates from him the means of eternal happiness in his every movement and rest".
Point 4. Shaykh Ahmed Zarruq says;
"As for the bringing about effects with this invocation, it is commensurate with ones's aim and aspiration that one has command of it to draw or repel, intending what is desired when one says 'And subject to us the this sea"
Point 5. My Master Ibn 'Ata'illah says;
It is a daily Wird-litany after the Mid-afternoon prayer (salah al 'Asr); thus did Shaykh Abul 'Abbas Al-Mursi arrange it.
Point 6. Shaykh abul Hasan al-Shadili says;
'whoever reads our Hizbu is with us (this is general Ijaza)'Kitab Mafakhir Aliyah Fiy Maathir Shadhiliyah

Khutbatu l-Wada

Prophet Muhammad’s SAW Farewell Sermon / خطبة الودا, Khutbatu l-Wada

9 DhulHijjah 10 AH (9 March 632) at Mount Arafat

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) undertook his farewell pilgrimage in the year 10 A.H. His farewell pilgrimage to Mecca is one of the most significant historical events in the minds of Muslims, for it was the first and last pilgrimage made by Prophet Muhammad, as well as being the model for performing the fifth pillar of Islam, the Hajj.

Prophet Muhammad’s final sermon was delivered during the Hajj of the year 632 C.E., the ninth day of Dhul Hijjah, the 12th month of the lunar year, at Arafat, the most blessed day of the year. There were countless Muslims present with the Prophet SAW during his last pilgrimage when he delivered his last Sermon.

Even today the Last Sermon of Prophet Muhammad SAW is passed to every Muslim in every corner of the word through all possible means of communication. Muslims are reminded about it in mosques and in lectures. Indeed the meanings found in this sermon are indeed astounding, touching upon some of the most important rights Allah has over humanity, and humanity has over each other. Though the Prophet’s soul SAW has left this world, his words are still living in our hearts.

After praising and thanking Allah, Prophet Muhammad SAW said:

“O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and TAKE THESE WORDS TO THOSE WHO COULD NOT BE PRESENT HERE TODAY.

O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that He will indeed reckon your deeds. ALLAH has forbidden you to take usury (interest), therefore all interest obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital, however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity. Allah has Judged that there shall be no interest and that all the interest due to Abbas ibn Abdul Muttalib (Prophet’s uncle) shall henceforth be waived…

Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.

O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women, but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under Allah’s trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste.

O People, listen to me in earnest, worship Allah, say your five daily prayers (Salah), fast during the month of Ramadan, and give your wealth in Zakat. Perform Hajj if you can afford to.

All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.

Remember, one day you will appear before Allah and answer your deeds. So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.

O People, no prophet or apostle will come after me and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the QURAN and my example, the SUNNAH and if you follow these you will never go astray.
All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness, O Allah, that I have conveyed your message to your people”.

Asshalatul khairun minna naum, Shalat is better than sleep

Bismillah HirRahman nirRahiim.

clip_image002image

Shalat, prostration only to Allah Subhana wa Ta’ala (SwT) is a non negotiable command. It was taught directly to our holy Prophet Muhammad salallahu alaih wa alih wa shohbihi wa salam (saaw) during Isra’ Miraj. Shalat is the key to Jannah. Every other devotions becomes easier when we make a commitment to adhere to the command of shalat. It is the first action that will be counted. All fard shalat first and if it is all acceptable then the sunnah shalat. The sunnah shalat will cover any fard shalat that has been deleted because of many reasons. Therefore, it is necessary to understand why shalat is so important for our lives. In the akhirat, there will be no more shalat. It is only in the dunya that we are commanded to shalat. When a believer remembers Allah SwT, the believer will run to shalat at the specified times and will never take shalat for granted. All praises are due to Allah SwT , Who has made shalat encumbent only to this ummat. This ummat has the benefits other ummats did not get. We are the last ummat, the ummat of Nabi Muhammad saaw, and we are the first ummat to enter Jannah. Shalat precedes the other pillars of Islam and makes it easier to follow. Why is the daily ritual so difficult for most? When in the month of Ramadan, some fast although they do not make shalat, their fast means nothing. We are blessed when we make shalat in jamaah, 27 times more than making shalat alone. Islam, encourages togetherness, in shalat we have this solidarity. We all stand in safs, rows of mixed people from all backgrounds, in the eyes of Allah SwT, all are equal, except in iman. We need to look after our shalat, maintain our deen through it and be known for the consistency as a muslim, by making proper shalat, with proper wudhu. In shalat, we remember Allah SwT, we are in His presence, we recite “attayyiyatu….” Remembering the conversation between Allah SwT and Rasulallah saw, how can we dismiss the importance of such remembrance? How can we neglect this simple but so important daily routine. We take pains to get to work, school, meetings and appointments on time, why do we neglect making shalat on time?……When all dunyawi matters are unimportant and insignificant without shalat. All that’s left is an empty shell. Devoid of anything useful. Precious time wasted on uneventful or meaningful matters. Shalat is the main ingredient in the life of a muslim, and it denotes a special bond as a believer and makes the difference between a kuffar and muslim. When a muslim makes time in full sincerity for shalat and all other pillars and devotions for Allah SwT, Allah SwT will take care of all matters for him/her. Allah SwT loves those that remember Him, makes shalat, makes shalawat and endears all commands for His sake. Mashaallah, every soul enrobed in light, is one that makes wudhu, shalat, zikir, fasts,gives charity, does good works, has good charater, obeys the commands, visits the haramain, and acts in accordance to what Rasulallah saw did, has good speech, behavior and attitudes, who thinks well of Allah SwT, loves Rasulallah saaw and his progeny, as well as other muslims. Who prays for the ummat and makes life easier for those with difficulties. These are some of the teachings Islam advocates. How can we be mislead by the opposite of all these things????

“Radhitu billahi Rabban wa bil Islami deenan wa bi Muhammadin nabiyya.”

Wake up sleeping souls!

Those who forsake shalat will enter Jahannam as a kafirun.

They will never see the face of Allah SwT. They will never meet with Rasulallah saw.

They will never drink from the fountain of Kautsar.

May Allah SwT make it easy for all the ummat, especially this writer, and may Allah SwT give us patience in our afflictions. May Allah SwT gather us with those He loves.

Was shalallahu ala sayyidina Muhammad wa ala alih wa shohbihi wassalaim.
