My Ancestry, Heritage, Genetics, Genealogy and History

 I have always been so interested in genealogy. It stemmed from my being born in Singapore but looking so different to many others and more significantly, I felt "out of place". Since 2010, my family have been gathering information and building a family tree in Geni. I have to commend them on their endurance and enthusiasm. After 10 years, many more have contributed to this tree. Recently, there has been a surge of interest in genealogy and DNA testing has been popular. It fuelled my interest to discover more about myself and my heritage. So, I did DNA testing with 23andme and My Heritage. Additionally, my children, parents and siblings also did the tests. I have since realised I have thousands of genetic relations all around the world. It is amazing. I endeavoured to research more about my Irish heritage because I feel that the Irish genes are strong in me. I discovered Sir Richard O'Farrell is my 9th great grandfather. He was a soldier in the Confederate Army (1640s). I am related to Sir Richard Branson since we share a third great grandfather. I found out because Lindy Branson, is a genetic cousin on My Heritage. Since I knew of my Irish heritage, I was curious to see if Joe Biden's grandmother is related to me because she was Irish. As it turns out, I am related to Joe Biden through marriage (4 generations before). The story gets more astounding. When you subscribe and pay for services on these websites especially Geni and My Heritage, you will get matches. Especially so if you upload your gedcom files. Since I have two tests on two sites, I maximised the possibilities of matches and information.

Here are the MOST  surprising results of who I am related to after10 years investigation into my ancestry. This was possible because of the technology we possess.

Princess Anna Oldenberg, Queen Consort of Scotland, England and Ireland (9th cousin 11 times removed)

Henry Augustus Dillon-Lee, 13th Viscount Dillon Costello-gallin ($th cousin 7 times removed)

Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Queen Consort of the united kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland (10th cousin 6 times removed)

Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom (15th cousin once removed)

Anastasia Irene Maria Monomachos Monomahinya (25th great grandmother)

Constantine IX Monomachos, Byzantine Emperor (26th great grandfather)

Prophet Muhammad (Prophet of Islam Peace be Upon him (PBUH) and his family and friends) {12th cousin 43 times removed}

Amina bint Wahab (Prophet Muhammad's mother) {11th cousin 44 times removed}

Fatimah bint Muhammad (May Allah bless her and her family) {13th cousin 42 times removed}

Husayn ibni Ali bin Abi Talib (Prophet Muhammad's  grandson) {14th cousin 41 times removed}

Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq Bin Muhammad Al-Baqir (15th cousin 40 times removed)

Imam Muhammad Al-Baqir Bin Ali Zain al-Abidin (16th cousin 39 times removed)

Imam Sayyid Ahmad Al-Muhajir Ilallah Al-Muhajir (19th cousin 36 times removed)

Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al-Jilani ( 25th cousin 30 times removed)

Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam I (21st Sultan of Brunei) {43rd cousin 12 times removed}

sultan Hassanal Bolkiah (25th cousin twice removed)

Chlothar II the Young, King of the Franks  (39th great grandfather)

I have many genetically related people in my family who will be as astounded to discover all these interesting facts.

In my opinion, I am now able to trace my entire lineage to Adam and Eve. Adam the first man is the first Prophet of Allah. Abraham was a Prophet of Allah and Father to the Jews, Christians and Arabs. Through the sons of Abraham, Isaac (PBUH) and Ishmael (PBUH), the line of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Jesus(PBUH) meet. My genetic relation to Muhammad (PBUH) is through his mother, yet through his paternal line, through him (PBUH)... I am connected to them all.

This finding makes me more certain that peace, love and light as the motto for my blog and website Circle of Love & Light has been the guidance from Allah and the Source of all inspiration and Knowledge. We are spirit in human form and it is all our responsibility to take care of the environment and one another. Mostly, it is our duty to tell the truth that there is only Allah. One.

Observations of the times

I write this today, as I reflect and ponder about afew things.
Firstly, how perception is becoming a major topic in raising higher consciousness.
Next, the spinning of well-being industry, and positive psychology as a way to encourage stressed humans to deal with life's moments.
Further, I look at "new-age" spiritual teachers emerging who share their views on how temporal and "unreal" this world and its contents are. They teach about perception.
Finally, I conclude what this new awakening means for humans who are opening up to the fact that they need some form of guidance toward finding themselves and feeling inner peace.

Perception in psychology, explains that we gather information about the environment from our five physical senses, sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste. These are natural human instincts. How the information is relayed to the brain, how we manage it, what we do with it, how it affects our behaviour from its digestion in the mind, is called perception. That was a brief description of a complex process involving neurons, dendrites, energy, brain chemicals, central nervous system, hypothalamus, amagdala, prefrontal cortex, and so on and so forth; which will bore and confuse anyone uninterested. Basically, modern technology has enabled us to watch how the brain works and understand human behaviour better through the study of psychological science.
Having said that, we cannot watch how this knowledge affects spirit or soul, nor the energy particles of atoms and molecules within and contained in all that exists. I get confused, when the physical and metaphysical is not clearly explained within the new age philosophy, which according to me takes stands of knowledge and weaves it to suit situational circumstances.

It is clear that humans are under pressure to survive in a man-made world of technological advancements and  fast paced life which involves working within constrainments of time and space. The well-being industry boom, is pounding on all social media for humans to take the time to re-charge, find inner peace and reduce stress. There are short courses to enable people who want to learn and train others in regards to well-being and flourishing, based on the minute information they have gathered, regarding perception. I see, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) offered as a short course. I see reminders of remaining positive in memes and posts. I realise humans are more aware of the need to relax. I wonder if they understand how temporal the world is. I worry about the manipulations of whizz industries which follow trends to make money, preying on humans and those susceptible fall for the campaigns or promotions.

New age spiritual teachers are teaching humans to release negativity, through understanding that what they see is an illusion. That what their senses pick up creates imagery through the mind. They teach that ego is a thing to reckon with, hence that needs to be curtailed if humans want to release anger and aggression issues or anything to do with what I refer to as low human desires. They also teach that the world we live in is made up of energy, atoms and this is all information transported to our brain which we then create our own world with, hence we have the choice to create or re-create our limited space. It is limited because our spatial view is limited. We don't see the bigger picture. But if we understand perception, we will realise that we can only see limitedness of our existence. They want to teach humans to expand perception and realise we are in control and part of an entire span of what is all ENERGY. My question is, what then shall humans do with the acceptance that we are all just energy, matter and antimatter? Does it mean we are spirit in human form or that we aren't physical beings? I don't get it? What are they trying to gather from what information is available through knowledge gathered from research? In positive psychology and among other kinds of treatment for depression or stress, a person who has a form of religious guidance is said to have better outcomes in treatments. So, are we then being fed treatment in the guise of new age "talk"? Certainly, it seems to makes sense to those who want to listen.
Finally in my opinion, all these teachings are great yet not absolute. There are areas in life that cannot yet be recorded nor researched when it comes to the spirit in human form. The energy we are all endowed with, that connects to all that is physical and meta-physical, matter and anti-matter, molecules, atoms and particles; which combined with all created is the mass of energy that flows and never ends, connecting us to higher forms of created beings and to the ultimate atomic battery that charges all , which I call Allah. Higher consciousness just means accepting, understanding and appreciating that we are spirit in human form. We are light. We are energy. We have choice. We can learn to control thoughts, which is an energy that creates an emotion/s; we all perceive things differently, it's called individual differences or preferences ; we are regulated by our environment, by our communities and by whatever we choose in life. We also need to have a higher belief system, which guides us toward ... a good ending. Islam teaches this within Al Qur'an, and the spirtual path of the seeker to the Truth (All Manifest- Al Mubeen) of Islam is called Sufisim. Spiritiual practices are important. I encourage humans to contemplate, "what is the meaning of life"? Where do we head when we cease to exist in the human form? I encourage the human to use innate intuition guided by positive spirituality from a good source, to manage the challenges life will offer. God created humans as the smallest percentage of all creation but according to Islamic teachings, the best of all creations. Sufism will teach humans how to connect by constant recitation, repetition and remembrance of specific supplications; through consistency in these, humans begin to feel better, humbled yet empowered, egoistic tendencies will reduce, better habits and behaviour will manifest; actions seeking higher ascension (solat/salah) in prayer; submission and prostration (head on the ground and assuming the most reverent position in humility to worship God-sajda) will increase, charitable acts will become second nature, inner peace will be illuminated and many more benefits will be apparent.

People: Energies and souls

I have to ponder about coincidences in life among soul mates and between twin energy. I believe that coincidences are signs between people that recognises their connection as souls. As life events are compared, the coincidences are too consistent and similar that they must be reflected upon. How can two people, over a period of time, learn similar things, like many things and feel the same about topics and even change to the same religion? Were they taught by the same force of higher guidance and power to finally unite, as one energy? If so, could we then contemplate that, what some refer to as, twin flames would then inevitable be this double charged duo, who we may refer to as  twin souls because of their identical characters although not physical twins?
Twin souls are comforting whose energies balance and synchronises, reducing conflict if in a relationship. The timeless feature if this relationship is special. The forgiving nature of this relationship is healing. The loving feature of this relationship is unconditional.
We may not be able to test let alone prove this theory but I for one, believe it is possible.

Reviewing twin flame theory

The twin flame theory is based on an assumption that there are twin energies or split souls that traverse the earth and will eventually meet. That they experience a certain locked and magnetic attraction that cannot be described. It also is reported that this experience is a heart wrenching experience until the two are reunited. Accordingly, when this happens, there signs that are revealed; some too coincidental that only a spiritual or energy connection may explain the phenomena.
Interestingly, this experience is likened to a drowning of all sorts of emotions which affect life upon the meeting and if not understood haunts the pair with yearning and feeling of loss, until reunited. In the event these two haven't met, then it is to be expected that their lives will evoke a feeling of looking for "the one" without actually knowing what is being searched.
Having studied this phenomena with great interest previously through self reported experiences of others, it cannot be denied that auric or energies do exist. It is also interesting to experience the unquenchable need, yearn, absorption of the partner, till hurt takes on a deeper emotional meaning because of deep love. The relationship evolves quickly when in touch, in communication, in tuned and everything falls into place. It is also as if all is connected and the puzzle of life eases and  the easel is filled with color from the palette orchestrated by what can only be termed, nature. Even nature then seems to look upon and send discreet messages that the two will suddenly be synchronized to notice simultaneously.; or that without words or even before a text may be sent, a call made or a word spoken; the answer or reaction will be acted on or answered. Truly, it is an incredible experience with no science-based explanation. Yet, energy psychology recognizes that humans have frequencies which we may use to communicate and some more than others. Perhaps it is a deep love that is needed to fulfill the connection, yet what is unexplainable is the connection may transcend time, dimension, space and distance.
I keep an open mind and feel this theory may be worth observing and if ESP is a recognized science in Psychology, then why not the "Twin Flame Theory"?

NDE survivor experience

When death comes there’s no warning. When a person under a near death experience sees a light it’s usually because they will receive a message. It’s a special spiritual experience . When a person comes back from being in the Light; they find they experience some changes in themselves which is priceless. They come back with certain knowledge and skills. They will experience what unconditional love is. Their lives then would usually be in service of others. It’s as if the Light cleanses you. So when a person is to die ; there’s no negotiating. Life is just taken. Unfortunate for the person who isn’t prepared to return home to the Lord because the worldly things prevent them from wanting to leave. They forget Allah SWT is the power over all. And if that certainty without a doubt is within a soul; they would gladly and happily move into the Light; knowing Allah SWT is all good and gives goodness. ~lorrainenur,2017: NDE survivor 1996

Life is the Experiment

Your life, your experiment:
The independent variables can be manipulated; to produce the dependent variable outcome. In between are other factors that may affect the dependent variables ; the variations are unlimited . The things we experience, feel & think affect us, our lives & so likewise in experiments we have endless trials which are based on past trials- so too, life. ~ lorrainenur@2018

Root canal pain and memories

My first root canal at age 53. I have been studying psychology fulltime since age 51. My favourite is cognitive psychology. What does this have to do with my root canal experience?
I have slightly high anxiety when it comes to dentist. It stems from a scare when I was a child; when my sister had a dental appointment. And as I waited for her, all I could hear were her “screams of terror”. This affected me me for many years, such that my first dental experience to fill a tooth was when I was 14.
To make matters worse, at age 20; unsure of what a root canal meant, I extracted a very good molar that could have been saved. This fault was of course blamed on the lack of information given by the dentist at the time.
Now, this genuine fear surfaces each dental visit but eventually I have  faced the fear and come out alright.
The root canal session went well the first time; then the second time which was today. Although the area was anesthetized, logically I understood the  procedure , and while it was in progress with drilling, cleaning, measuring depth, more drilling with various size mini hand held drills; I found myself distracting my thoughts to other matters like reviewing my readings mentally making notes of what I would write.
When this session was over , my jaw felt rigid but I could close my mouth once again which had been fully opened for 2 hours. The dentist placed a resting bridge to ease the jaw and a lot of modern procedures which makes one feel as comfortable as possible.
So, after leaving the dentist and driving back, the anesthetic effect  was starting to wear off. By the time I reached home (30 minutes or less) my entire left side of my face, was in pain.
I took two pain killers, two muscle relaxants and a sedative which was what I needed to feel better and fall asleep.
This is the interesting finding about pain. See, during the procedure to remove the nerve (root canal); the brain has been aware of this invasion, although not felt at the time. This invasion has been recorded. The pain induced must be recorded as a sensation. Thereafter, when the anesthetic wears off , all after-effect pain  is felt. Sleep is then needed to calm the body and mind, by consolidating all the memories ; sensations and perceptions of the experience in order for healing to begin mentally. See, during my sleep, I felt the real pain of the procedure ... it was a recorded memory. Because in sleep we have a REM state; we go through what is a very active brain activity during sleep. This is the point we may dream. But, it’s actually memory consolidation. I felt it as a flitted in and out of sleep.
The good news is after waking, all pain disappeared. I had slept for 5 hours. Giving my brain a good relaxation to have approximately 5 REM sessions, enough to relieve the actually pain itself.
So, the wonders of cognitive function in our lives is amazing. It’s said everything is in the mind, that’s not wrong.
This story is aimed at sharing/helping people who have similar experiences . Those with deeper levels of mental issues are recommended to visit professionals.
